Terms & Conditions

  • You (‘the hirer’) must maintain the appropriate certification, qualifications, and up to date liability insurance.  Copies of these must be provided to be kept on file.
  • You should conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times whilst using the studio/therapy room and the communal spaces.
  • The studio / therapy room must only be used during the hours that have been agreed and pre-booked.
  • Please vacate the studio/therapy room as quickly as you possibly can after your session has finished.  We will always leave 15 minute intervals between sessions, but please be mindful of any other hirers and their sessions.
  • Your own belongings are your responsibility when you are within the building. We will accept no responsibility for personal or professional items left on the premises.
  • Please remove all footwear before entering the studio
  • You are responsible for the studio/therapy room and its contents during your sessions.  Any damage that occurs during this time must be brought to our attention.
  • The studio/therapy room must be left in a safe and tidy condition so that other hirers can use them after you.
  • It is forbidden to sublet the yoga studio/therapy room or use them for any other purpose than what has been agreed.
  • Photography & Video: Any hire involving photography and video footage must be agreed at the time of booking as different rates apply.
    • For most shoots a credit line acknowledging The Serenity Barn as the location is sufficient i.e: ‘Filmed/Photographed at The Serenity Barn. If the images will be broadcasted, we might be interested in using the images, videos or stills from such shoots in our communication activities.
  • External hirers are asked to mention The Serenity Barn as the venue where the activity is taking place when advertising via social media channels and where possible tag the barn in
  • There is a 48 hour cancellation policy for all bookings.  You will be required to pay in full unless we receive an email 48 hours before, stating cancellation.  If we can fill the space, there will be no charge.  We recommend that you agree similar terms with your clients.
  • Inform us if another teacher will be covering your class due to illness/inability to attend.  Anyone that teaches with The Serenity Barn must be known by us with all their documentation on file.
  • Parking. Please park on the white gravel drive if possible or alternatively on the roadside near the barn. Please do not park on the grass verge in front of Bascote House or too close to Bascote Chase entrance.

Health and Safety

  • You are responsible for ensuring your session is run in line with current health and safety legislation and best practice guidelines.  
  • The first aid kit and accident book is kept in the kitchen area.  Should a participant in your session sustain an injury, please notify reception.  
  • It is the responsibility of The Serenity Barn (‘the rentors’) to make all hirers aware of the fire evacuation procedures and the responsibility of all hirers to make sure class participants are briefed on course of action in case of fire.  
  • Hirers need to have their own insurance to cover any situation involving loss or injury to a member of the public as a result of their own activities.
  • If a session involves participants who are under the age of 18 or classed as vulnerable adults the hirer is responsible for ensuring that the relevant DBS checks have been obtained.
