Parking. Please ensure all clients are aware of parking conditions. Please park on the white gravel drive or alternatively on the roadside near the barn. When parking on the roadside please be mindful not to block the pavement as we do have wheelchair & pushchair users in the village. Please do not park on the grass verge in front of Bascote House.
The studio must only be used during the hours that have been agreed and pre-booked.
We leave 30 minute intervals (15 mins for private clients) between classes & events. Please vacate the studio within this time and be mindful of other hirers and their sessions.
Your own belongings are your responsibility when you are within the building. We accept no responsibility for personal or professional items left on the premises.
Please remove all footwear before entering the studio.
You are responsible for the barn and its contents during your sessions. Please bring any damage that occurs to our attention.
The barn must be left in a safe and tidy condition so that other hirers can use straight after you.
It is forbidden to sublet the yoga studio or use for any other purpose than what has been agreed.
Photography & Video: External hirers are asked to mention The Serenity Barn as the venue where the activity is taking place when advertising via social media channels and always mention/tag The Serenity Barn.
Any hire purely involving photography and video footage must be agreed at the time of booking as different rates apply.
For photo shoots a credit line acknowledging The Serenity Barn as the location is sufficient i.e: ‘Filmed/Photographed at The Serenity Barn.
There is a 7 day cancellation policy for all bookings. You will be required to pay in full unless we receive an email 7 days before, stating cancellation. If we can fill the space, there will be no charge. We recommend that you agree similar terms with your clients.
Please inform us if another teacher will be covering your class due to illness/inability to attend. Anyone that teaches with The Serenity Barn must maintain the appropriate certification, qualifications, and up to date liability insurance.
Health and Safety
You are responsible for ensuring your session is run in line with current health and safety legislation and best practice guidelines.
The first aid kit and accident book is kept under the sink in the kitchen area. Should a participant in your session sustain an injury, please notify us after the event.
It is the responsibility of The Serenity Barn (‘the rentors’) to make all hirers aware of the fire evacuation procedures and the responsibility of all hirers to make sure class participants are briefed on course of action in case of fire.
Hirers need to have their own insurance to cover any situation involving loss or injury to a member of the public as a result of their own activities.
If a session involves participants who are under the age of 18 or classed as vulnerable adults the hirer is responsible for ensuring that the relevant DBS checks have been obtained.
