The AYURVEDIC WELLBEING DIPLOMA is an in-depth exploration of self-care through an Ayurvedic approach to wellbeing.  The highly experiential course is delivered to you by Su Menon and open to all health professionals and yoga teachers from any tradition or background.  It may also be attended by yoga students, Ayurvedic therapists and other practitioners of natural health for self development.  The course examines yoga, health, diet and lifestyle within the framework of Ayurveda (traditional Indian medicine).  You will leave with a wealth of tools to design bespoke sessions for your clients and/or to apply to your own practice of self-care.  The course content is informed by research undertaken by Su at Warwick Medical School and is delivered in small groups so that time can be dedicated to developing you and your business.  Post-course support is also available through mentoring.  Training can be delivered in a number of ways to fit in with your budget, availability, learning style or career focus.  

WHATS INCLUDED?

A minimum of 4 students is required for all group trainings.  For the full teacher training, a workbook and a beautiful manual on Ayurveda is included in the fee which can be paid in monthly instalments.  The course comprises of 8 full contact days (1 day per month) with Skype sessions to support individual projects and coursework/case studies/journalling to be completed between each training day.  For yoga teachers this training can count towards a 500 or 1000 hour registration with the Independent Yoga Network (www.independentyoganetwork.org) and is fully insured through Wellbeing Insurance (www.wellbeinginsurance.co.uk).

  • Basic principles of Ayurvedic medicine

  • Assessing mind-body types through Ayurveda

  • How to do an Ayurvedic consultation

  • How to create bespoke exercise routines and yoga 

       practices

  • Creating bespoke self-care plans with Ayurveda

  • Ayurvedic/vegan nutrition and cooking

  • Nourishing the 5 senses in class settings

  • Balancing yin and yang energies in class settings

  • Yoga and exercise as somatic mindfulness practices

  • Mindfulness, meditation and Yoga Nidra

  • Menstrual awareness for optimal sports/exercise 

       performance (how hormones impact activity)

  • Creative strategies to engage, motivate and inspire 

  • Ethics, boundaries and the therapeutic relationship

  • Setting up a business and developing a professional

       practice

  • Branding and marketing your unique service

YOUR COURSE START DATE & COMMITMENT: One Saturday per month for 8 months starting from September 2019. Days run from 10am-6pm.
