We are excited to let you know we are running a new 4 week course of Ashtanga style yoga over the summer holidays this year! The classes start week commencing 8th August and run for 4 weeks (with a break for the August bank holiday week). There are just a few spaces left so if you would like to join us please see below….
4 WEEK ASHTANGA STYLE YOGA COURSE
In this four week course you will learn the basics of Ashtanga yoga in a friendly and supportive environment. Each week you will be guided through a set sequence of postures which are designed to benefit the body and the mind. You will learn how apply the techniques of ujjayi pranayama (breathing), drishti (meditative gazing points) and bandhas (internal energy locks). All of these techniques help to develop concentration and bring about a stillness of mind. Ashtanga yoga is usually described as a dynamic and athletic form of yoga, which is certainly true, but it can also be practised with softness, and with the option to modify throughout.
